The St. Louis Impact Fund supports student-led, mutually beneficial partnerships with St. Louis-area nonprofit and civic organizations. Through grants for new projects and expanded collaborations, the fund helps students and community partners co-design initiatives that address regional priorities and community-identified needs. Community partners help shape project goals and activities, ensuring their knowledge and priorities guide the work while strengthening long-term relationships between WashU and the St. Louis region.
Washington University undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply in collaboration with community partners.
The fund consists of two grants. The Transform Grant application process begins with a Letter of Intent in the fall, followed by invited applicants developing and submitting full proposals in winter and spring, with funding decisions announced in late spring. The Partnership Extension Grant accepts applications in late summer from eligible WashU students seeking to continue collaborations with their summer host organizations.
