DESCRIPTION:\nWashU is proud to present Thursday Nights at the Museum\, a weekly series featuring thought-provoking programming\, extended museum hours\, and activities.\n\n\n\nIn the last 50 years\, LGBTQIA+ history has grown from a nonexistent field of study into one that is rich and widely diverse. Join Dr. John D’Emilio\, a pioneer in the field\, as he traces that evolution and the growth of community-based archives that sustain this research and writing. D’Emilio’s book Queer Legacies: Stories from Chicago’s LGBTQ Archives will be available for purchase in the Sold on St. Louis shop.\n\n\n\nThe James Neal Primm Lecture in History is an annual speaker series that brings distinguished historians and scholars to St. Louis to share their current research through public lectures\, seminars\, and informal meetings. The lecture honors James Neal Primm\, celebrated St. Louis historian and Curators’ Professor Emeritus of the University of Missouri–St. Louis. \n\n\n\nPresented in collaboration with the University of Missouri–St. Louis History Department.\n\n\n\n\nLearn more about Thursday Nights at the Museum\n\n
