Lisa Weingarth is the Senior Advisor to the Chancellor and Executive Director of the “In St. Louis, For St. Louis” Initiative at Washington University in St. Louis. In this role, she advises the Chancellor and his cabinet on issues facing the St. Louis community and the needs of local stakeholders. She also leads the “In St. Louis, For St. Louis” Initiative, collaborating with internal stakeholders and community leaders to deepen the university’s role and impact across the region. With a deep commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships, Lisa works to carry out the Chancellor’s vision that Washington University is not only in St. Louis but truly for St. Louis—harnessing the university’s strengths to expand educational access, promote health, and drive economic opportunity.
A dedicated leader in expanding opportunities for all, Lisa has held key roles at mission-driven organizations across the region. As Vice President of External Affairs for Rung for Women, Executive Director of the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis, and Development Director for College Bound, she has championed initiatives that help individuals achieve personal and professional success.
Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her leadership and contributions have been recognized with honors such as the “Woman of Influence” award from Rise Collaborative Workspace, the “Influential St. Louisan” designation by Gazelle Magazine, and the “Strong, Smart, and Bold” award from Girls Inc. She serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis County Library Foundation and the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
