Debra Goldstein is a dedicated education leader with nearly 30 years of experience in teaching, mentorship, and program development. She is committed to improving teacher retention and effectiveness, particularly in high-need schools, through structured mentorship and professional development.
Debra has taught at both the K-12 and higher education levels, preparing future educators and supporting early-career teachers. As a longtime high school teacher, she mentored new educators, led student organizations, and contributed to school improvement initiatives. In higher education, she teaches courses in teacher preparation, mathematics education, and culturally responsive instruction. She also supervises student teachers, providing coaching and feedback to strengthen their instructional practice.
Beyond the classroom, Debra has played a key role in building partnerships between universities and K-12 schools. She works closely with districts and charter schools to support teacher preparation, create meaningful field experiences, and develop professional development opportunities that address local educational needs.
She has extensive experience mentoring early-career teachers, providing instructional coaching, and evaluating teacher candidates. A recognized professional development facilitator, she has presented nationally and internationally on mentorship, differentiated instruction, and coaching strategies.
Debra will hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Louis University in 2025. She is passionate about fostering strong educator communities, supporting diverse teacher pathways, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction.
