Celebrate community support with WashU and the United Way by joining in for Unite With Us Days, April 10-24.
On April 10, Tara Ferguson, assistant director of community engagement for WashU’s “In St. Louis, For St. Louis” initiative, is championing a volunteer event at Employment Connection. Volunteers will help unpack and organize the client market and closet while learning more about WashU’s support of United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Employment Connection provides job training, resources and support to help clients secure employment and build long-term stability. The organization has seen increased demand since 2025 due to natural disasters and the government shutdown.
