Explore early findings on the financial lives of small businesses and network with others to better support small firms and workers.
Small Firm Diaries USA (SFD USA) is a multi-city longitudinal study to understand the financial lives of businesses in low-income neighborhoods, with a focus on marginalized entrepreneurs. The project aims to inform policies, programs and credit products that allow owners to build growing businesses, increase their household wealth, and to provide more and better jobs in their communities.
Attendees will gain an inside look into the data of SFD USA and engage in discussion with researchers, practitioners, and community partners on the implications of the research for policy, practice, and efforts to better support small firms and workers. Time will be allotted at the beginning and end of the event for networking.
This event is open to the entire WashU community and the public.
