Join us to celebrate the openings of the Kemper Art Museum’s fall exhibitions, which will be will be on view September 9, 2026-January 4, 2027.

Buenos Aires Modern, 1935–1950 is the first exhibition in the United States to examine the inventive activities of a thriving, cross-disciplinary artistic community of locals, exiles and immigrants living in Argentina’s capital during the early twentieth century. Exploring this vibrant creative laboratory, the exhibition traces how modernism was not merely adopted but actively transformed in Buenos Aires.
