The Center for Community Health Partnership & Research (CCHPR) reduces disparities and improves health and wellness in the region as it fosters meaningful engagement between communities and researchers. Within this program, there are multiple opportunities for St. Louis engagement including:
- Our Community, Our Health – St. Louis (OCOH): Partners with St. Louis churches, neighborhood groups, community centers, and other organizations to offer COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine information.
- Partnership Development & Sustainability Support Funding Program: Supports Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) investigators and their community partner(s) with up to $10,000 over one-year to develop trust, infrastructure, and skills.
- Community Engagement Studios: Provides a forum for researchers to gain valuable patient or community input at any stage of the community development. Community engagement studios can aid with culturally appropriateness, participant retention, intervention design and a number of research questions.
- Capacity Building Support: Through the CCHPR, the ICTS responds to top needs for capacity building identified by community organizations: leadership, communication, data management and evaluation. These capacity areas are essential for developing, implementing, and sustaining programs that improve community health and well-being.
CCHPR also supports several key community partners including the Community Health Worker (CHW) Workforce Partnership, whose goal is to scale and sustain the community health workforce within the St. Louis Region; and the Immigrant Service Provider Network (ISPN), a network of community organizations and health and social service providers that serve immigrants and refugees in the St. Louis region.
